Clay has always fascinated me. As a 10-year-old child, I received my first (toy) turntable and the foundation was laid there. Then, after many hobby courses, I decided to follow the Ceramic Techniques course at the SBB in Gouda. I obtained my diploma in 2009, after which I took an additional year of spinning training. Since then I have regularly visited the studio of a ceramist friend. In 2019 I decided to set up my own studio, where I enjoy spending many hours.

My work is very varied because I enjoy making so many different things and I quickly get bored with repetition. I give free rein to my creativity and do not want to focus on just one type of ceramics or working method. I work without a predetermined plan and usually only decide what I want to make when I sit behind the turntable.
